Data protection

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit this website. It is written to meet the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Controller

Milan Siljanov, Zurich, Switzerland
Email: siljanov@bluemail.ch

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Squarespace (Squarespace Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland; Squarespace, Inc., New York, USA). When you visit the site, Squarespace automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page and time of access. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably. Data may be transferred to the USA; Squarespace uses the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and participates in the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Fonts on this website are delivered by Squarespace; no connection to Google Fonts is made.

3. Cookies and statistics

The site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. Squarespace’s visitor statistics and any other non-essential cookies are only set if you agree via the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by deleting the cookies in your browser.

4. Video thumbnails and external links

The preview images of the videos in the Media section are loaded from YouTube’s servers (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Google. The videos themselves are not embedded; they only open on YouTube when you click on them. Links to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and opera houses lead to external websites, which have their own privacy policies.

5. Spotify

The Recordings section contains players from the music service Spotify (Spotify AB, Stockholm, Sweden), and the album covers shown there are loaded from Spotify’s servers. When you open the page, your browser connects to Spotify and your IP address is transmitted. If you are logged in to Spotify, Spotify may link your use of the players to your account. For details see Spotify’s privacy policy: spotify.com/legal/privacy-policy.

6. Contact by email

If you write to me or to my management by email, the data you send (name, email address, message) is used only to handle your enquiry and is not passed on to third parties without your consent.

7. Your rights

You have the right to request information about your personal data and to have it corrected, deleted or its processing restricted, as well as the right to object to processing and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact the address above. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU the authority of your country of residence.
